Welcome to the NCX Student Certification. This page explains how you learn, how you certify, what’s free, what you pay, and how a mentor can help. It’s simple by design: you can earn every certificate fully on your own or opt into mentoring when you want extra support.

What’s free​

  • All lessons, practice labs, projects, and exams (theory + practical).
  • Digital badges and certificates.

You never pay for content or certification.

What you pay​

  • Only for runtime (pay-as-you-use):
    • Core runtime (building/running in the platform)
    • AI credits (AI calls, agents, etc.)
  • Automatic discounts:
    • Onboarding: 20% off all runtime for your first 3 months.
    • Certification bonus: +10% off for 2 months after you pass a level (temporarily 30% total during that period).
    • A monthly cap applies to the discount; you’ll see it clearly in your billing view.

Tip: Most practice runs use Study Mode (mock/sim) and consume zero credits. Production Mode uses real runtime and is clearly labeled.

What you’ll learn​

  • Core product skills: schema/tables, API calls (auth, headers, errors), agent calls (tools, memory), automations, theming.
  • Product mindset: MVP thinking, debugging, UX basics, clean structure, and presenting your work.
  • From zero to shipping: small lessons with hands-on exercises, practice projects, and a capstone per level.

Levels: NCX‑1 Starter → NCX‑2 Builder → NCX‑3 Pro → NCX‑4 Expert

How certification works​

  • Admission to exams:
    • Complete all required micro‑exercises for the level
    • Finish at least one practice project
  • Theory exam:
    • Proctoring light (camera on), randomized question bank, time‑boxed
  • Practical exam:
    • A unique assignment variant per student (parameters change)
    • Auto‑scoring with logs; random human audits for quality
  • Identity check:
    • One‑time per level (liveness + ID match)
  • After you pass:
    • You receive a verifiable digital badge and certificate
    • Certification bonus: +10% runtime discount for 2 months (with monthly cap)

Retakes (if you don’t pass yet)​

  • Maximum 3 attempts per 20 days (rolling window)
  • Minimum 72 hours cooldown between attempts
  • No‑show counts as an attempt (cancel free up to 24 hours in advance)
  • Anti‑cheat measures apply; fraud flags can trigger a temporary block and review
  • The UI shows:
    • Attempt counter (e.g., “Attempt 2/3”)
    • Window reset date
    • Cooldown countdown

Two learning options​

1) Autonomous Track (self‑serve)​

  • Always available. No mentor required to earn certificates.
  • Small, focused lessons:
    • 2–4 minute videos
    • One exercise per lesson with instant checks and a hint ladder
  • Practice projects with acceptance tests
  • Capstone with auto‑scoring and sample reviews
  • Cost control:
    • Study Mode uses mocks (no runtime)
    • Production Mode uses real runtime (clearly labeled)

Perfect if you like to move at your own pace and keep costs minimal while learning.

2) Mentoring Track (optional, no extra fee for you)​

  • Choose a mentor in the marketplace (profile, language, specialization, availability)
  • What you get:
    • Weekly 30‑minute group huddle
    • Async help in threads (typically <24h replies on weekdays)
    • Clear rubrics, examples, and structured feedback
  • What you pay:
    • No mentor fee. You still only pay your own runtime (Core + AI).
  • Note:
    • Mentors have limited spots. Availability is shown in real time.

Pick mentoring if you want accountability, faster feedback, and a cohort rhythm.

Costs and discounts — quick examples​

  • Onboarding (20% off):
    • Core €18 + AI €30 = €48 before discount → you pay €38.40
  • Certification bonus window (total 30% off):
    • Core €24 + AI €40 = €64 before discount → you pay €44.80
  • Study vs Production:
    • 10 lessons in Study Mode → 0 credits
    • 2 Production actions: Core €3 + AI €6 = €9 before discount
      • With onboarding: you pay €7.20

Your billing screen always shows current discounts and caps.

How to get started​

  1. Choose your path: start autonomously or select a mentor.
  2. Begin with NCX‑1:
    • Watch the short videos and complete the exercises (preferably in Study Mode).
  3. Do a practice project:
    • Validate with built‑in tests until it passes.
  4. Book your exams when ready:
    • Theory and practical, on your schedule.
  5. Earn your certificate:
    • Your badge appears in your profile. Certification bonus is applied automatically.
  6. Keep going:
    • Build in Production Mode or advance to the next level.

  • Do I need a mentor to pass?
    • No. You can fully self‑serve and certify on your own.
  • Do I pay for lessons or exams?
    • No. Both are free. You only pay for your own runtime (Core + AI).
  • How do discounts work?
